My model. AS3033A has poor suction, and the motor runs very loud, screaming, lots of exhaust air though.

Not certain but I would give the entire vacuum a good cleaning including the roller and its end pieces, and lubricate with WD-40 or silicone spray lube. Empty and clean the tank thoroughly. Turn it on and turn upside down so you can see if the roller is rotating easily. You may have so many threads on the roller that it is impeding the roller. If you try using it in that condition, it will burn up the belt very quickly!

Turn the vacuum upside down. There are 5 Phillips head screws that must be removed before you can remove the bottom plate. All screws are the same length and size so no worry about mixing them up. Once the screws are removed, it will take a bit of pulling to remove the brush plate. I had to do this to clean the roller and blow out the build up on one end of the roller. I did this outside with a leafblower!

First remove from the vacuum with the push button on the top of the cylinder. Once removed, you will find a push button on the bottom. When it flops open, most of the dirt will fall out. Then snap the bottom back on, and press the latch opposite on the top from when you released the cylinder from the vacuum. That will give you access to the filter. Remove the foam and cloth filter outside, then beat it on something to release most of the dust. Once it is fairly clean, then take the filter inside and run hot water over it, squeezing a few times to remove the bulk of the dust. Then set aside to dry or if you are in a hurry, then press between layers of a towel to remove most of the water. Reinstall in vacuum, make sure the fabric is exposed, and the foam is facing downward, then snap lid shut.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the Eureka AirSpeed AS3033A below.
My Eureka vacuum is losing suction. Why is that?
Your Eureka vacuum cleaner losing suction power can be due to the following causes: - The suction power is not set to maximum - The dust container or dust bag is full - The hose, brush or tube is clogged
How often should I check the filter?
A clean filter is important to maintain the vacuum cleaner's suction power. Therefore, check the filter regularly. When a filter is clogged, dust absorption decreases and energy consumption increases.
What do I do with a smelly vacuum cleaner?
A commonly used method is to put a little washing powder in the dust container or the dust bag.
How often should I vacuum my house?
For allergy sufferers, vacuuming the house at least twice a week is recommended.
Why is my Eureka AirSpeed AS3033A not turning on?
Make sure the vacuum cleaner is plugged into a functioning power outlet and that the power switch is turned on. Double-check if the cord is securely connected to both the vacuum and the power source.
How often should I clean or replace the filters?
Depending on usage, it is recommended to clean the filters every 2-3 months. However, if you vacuum frequently or have pets or allergies, it may be necessary to clean or replace the filters more often.
What should I do if the vacuum cleaner is losing suction power?
Firstly, check if the dust cup is full and needs to be emptied. Additionally, ensure that all filters are clean and properly installed. Inspect the hoses and attachments for any blockages that may be hindering airflow. Lastly, check if the brush roll is free from debris or tangled hair.
How can I adjust the height settings for different floor types?
Look for the height adjustment knob, usually located near the rotating brush. Turn the knob to raise or lower the brush roll to the desired height for the specific floor type. Lower settings are suitable for low-pile carpets, while higher settings work well for hard floors or deeper carpets.
How can I troubleshoot the vacuum cleaner if it becomes overheated?
If the vacuum overheats, it has a built-in thermal motor protection feature that automatically shuts off the unit. Turn off the vacuum, unplug it, and wait for at least 30 minutes for it to cool down. Check for clogs or obstructions in the hose or brush roll, as well as ensure that all filters are clean. Afterward, you can attempt to restart the vacuum cleaner.
