How do I log in to the web-shop?
Register as an existing customer in our B2B store at: https://shop.sm-original-germany.com Enter all the required information (marked with *) and press the "Register now" button.
Wait for our confirmation email, it contains the access data for the web-shop. Please be patient, this can take up to 24 hours.
You can now log in to the web-shop at https://shop.sm-original-germany.com. To do this, click on the login symbol at the top right of the screen (to the right of the magnifying glass symbol). Enter the e-mail address you registered with and the password you received in our confirmation e-mail and press the "Log in" button.
How does the ordering process work?
Add items to the shopping cart: You will find the "Add to shopping cart" button both in the results list of the item search and on the detail page when you click on an item.
If you want to order an item, enter the desired quantity in the corresponding field and click on "Add to shopping cart". A bar will now appear on the right showing the current contents of your shopping cart. Here, in the shopping cart preview, you can change the quantities, delete items from the shopping cart, display the shopping cart or go directly to the next order step "Continue to checkout". If you click on the "Show shopping cart" button, you will be taken to the shopping cart, where you will see a detailed breakdown of the total amount. From here you can proceed to the checkout.
Why does the order quantity change automatically?
For some items - such as valves - the quantity is automatically adjusted to our packaging unit when you enter it. For these items, it is only possible to order the quantity according to our packaging unit.
I.e. for valves that are supplied in packs of 6, only order quantities of 6, 12, 18 etc. are possible.
How can I specify my desired delivery date?
In the order process under 2. shipping method you will find our service feature to specify your desired delivery date. If you click on the edit button on the right-hand side, you can select your desired delivery date. Our staff will check this and let you know whether the date is feasible. If you do not enter a date here, your order will be delivered to you on the earliest possible date. Now please click on Save and continue to get to the final order overview.
Why can't I select a payment method?
As an existing customer, you are already registered with us with delivery and payment conditions. When you place an order in the store, orders are automatically linked to your stored payment methods and summarized in the order confirmation. If you would like to change these, please speak to your direct sales contact.
How does the article search work in the store?
Our articles are linked to original numbers and reference numbers. This means that SM products can be found using these reference numbers or original numbers. Please enter the reference number, OE or competitor reference in the search field.
If the OE or competitor reference is stored at SM, the corresponding SM article will appear automatically.
If you know and enter the complete and correct SM reference, only this one article will appear, with exactly the desired dimensions.
If you only enter the first 6 digits, for example, all standard and oversize dimensions as well as all packaging units of the article that we have in our range will be suggested to you.
What do I need to bear in mind when searching by engine number?
Simply enter the engine code you are looking for in the search field. All parts that we have in our range for this engine will now be listed. Try to enter the engine code as accurately or as completely as possible to find exactly the parts you need for your specific engine. For example, if you only enter 'OM 651' for Mercedes, you will see significantly more parts than if you enter the more specific 'OM 651.911'.
Can I find spare parts via the vehicle type in the store?
Simply enter your vehicle model in the search field. Narrow down the vehicle. All parts that we have in our range for this model will now be listed.
Can I find an article using dimensions?
If you are unsure exactly which size dimension you need, the “Search with dimensions” will help you. In the upper part of the screen, select the product you want to search for based on the dimensions you have.Now enter the information you have in the lower part of the screen. In the left-hand part of the input field, you still have the option of specifying a deviation tolerance or a filter. The more dimensions you enter, the more precisely you limit the results.
Can I display my favorites again?
You can add any item that interests you and that you would like to reserve for a future order to your wishlist. You will find the Add the item to wishlist button both in the item search results list and on the details page when you click on an item. Click on this button to add the item to your wishlist. At the top right of the wishlist icon, you can now see how many items are on your wishlist. If you now click on the wishlist icon, you will be taken to the list of all the items you have marked. From there you can add the items to your shopping cart or delete them from your wishlist.
